Noise Floor 2.27

So I've noticed that for the past few weeks my comic is getting a *lot* more page views, like, quadruple the usual amount, but I have no idea where you are all coming from. Is it bots? Did someone link to the comic? I haven't a clue! If you're reading this and you're a new reader, I'd love to know how you found your way here!

 

If it isn't clear from the comic yet, Toral has a lot of anxiety. She perceives a lot of minor interactions as failures, and she doesn't really know how to ... talk to people. She's not having a great time.

I don't have a fancy holiday update in the works this year, and it's unlikely to manifest, but I might need to take a week or two off at the end of the year, we'll see.

We are nearing the end of chapter 1! Just a few more pages. 

When I started publishing online, I had a buffer of 8 pages. My buffer is down to slightly less than 2, and I really hope I can keep up without missing any updates before the end. Comics are a lot of work!

Once Chapter 1 is complete, I’ll be taking a couple months off to rebuild my buffer before I start posting chapter 2. Draft 1 of chapter 2 is done, just doing some fine tuning and planning and storyboarding.

I have a vague plan to tell a side story of some sort during the hiatus, something sketchy and easy to draw. My favourite webcomic, Skin Deep, does Reader Questions, but I honestly don’t think I have A, enough readers to be able to fill updates with, and B, enough content to spark questions I can answer that isn’t already planned to be revealed in-universe! I could post art of some aliens I’ve designed but I’m torn between sharing them early, and waiting to reveal them over time in the story! It’s hard! I have so much planned!
