I personally don't know what the Wepilu look like, or how they died, or if they even did die at all! I'm not sure. I'm not sure I'll ever decide, to be honest. But bits of tech are scattered all over the galaxy that are technological marvels. By the time the way they stored data was reverse engineered, most of it was looted or destroyed so very little is known about their written histories, and nothing useful has been found.
