It's okay Toral, I wrote the script and I don't know how to pronounce his name either. Your vocal cords were never meant to speak his language.

For the record, even though everything we see from Torals perspective is in english, the Akyn language is not english. I just have to tell the story somehow, so english is the lens in which that happens. At some point I'll do a blog post and chat about my planned use of languages in this story-telling format, but probably not until sometime through chapter 2, because reasons. 

I really, really suck at drawing spaceships. I'm sorry, but it's true. Why I decided to draw a comic that takes place IN SPACE, I'll never know. But I love aliens and creatures and speculative biology, sooooo fuck me I guess. The ship in the first panel is a semi-organic ship, this one would be classified as a Coralite class. It uses a blend of mechanical technology with lab-grown organic technology to help the spaceship manage... something not yet revealed in the comic yet. All in good time!
