When I originally wrote this scene, I hadn't pictured a perpetually grumpy looking creature, but then in my sketches, he looked grumpy, so I ran with it. I love him so much. My friend has a cat that has this sort of perpetually un-impressed look on her face and it makes me smile every time. 

The Erskinda are actually quite a jovial race, I swear!
