No creative endeavor is created in a vacuum, and Unchosen Star is no exception. Without the support of my friends and partner, I wouldn’t have been able to get this off the ground.
LoginError, my amazing fiancé has been my number 1 fan from the beginning, and my primary Trampoline for bouncing ideas off of. Though I suppose it’s more of a Ping Pong game, since we end up bouncing ideas back and forth iterating on them to create something fun. His staunch support of me has been a foundation in the creation of this story, and without him, I probably wouldn’t have had the gumption to just go for it.
Rhitai, my friend for more than 2 decades, has been an excellent pincushion – and that’s a good thing! She lets me infodump about my ideas, and then says “Okay, I have questions.” and proceeds to poke holes in them all. And I love her for it. She helps me see the holes I was blind to, and then either I know they exist and can plan for them, or we talk it out and I figure out how to fill in the gaps.
LostHope, my friend and work buddy, has spent so much time trapped in the office with me while I talk about my ideas, and he’s a great listener and as it turns out, an great trampoline as well! So many slow work hours have been spent just bouncing around ideas. His genuine interest in my story helps to, and is a great motivator.
From here, I have too many friends, online and offline both, that have listened and helped me workshop things, that I can’t keep track of them all! If you are a person who’s been around backstage, encouraging, helping with ideas or language or critiques, I love you all. You know who you are. You’re awesome.
